Cat Shell

I am a product of the 80s, born in the Midwest to hardworking parents who shared a mutual affection for theater and music. As a child, my dad was in the radio business and we moved around quite a bit. In school, I gravitated towards the arts- particularly English. After college, I realized that the 9-5 world was not where I wanted to be. Inspired by a former boyfriend, I began attending open mics and reciting my poetry. These poems would become the foundation of my first songs. I taught myself basic guitar and soon began singing at open mics, which lead to collaberations with other local musicians and eventually the formation of a band. Over the progression of 5 years, I wrote and recorded my first album and began performing at top venues all over South Florida.

I've been honored to work with some of the best artists & musicians in Miami, and now I'm in the process of completing my sophomore album and booking shows all over! When you find the path in life for you that makes sense, things really start to fall into place. I've poured my heart & soul into my music and I've been so blessed to have such an amazing team of family, friends, band members, and fans supporting me on this journey. I sincerely appreciate you all and would like to take a moment to mention a few friends who are doing their own thing....
